About Dan Rowe ABR CRS GRI, Broker

First licensed as an agent and Realtor in January 1991, I have served hundreds of home buyers, investors and sellers in the Boise area, Treasure Valley and SW Idaho.

Formerly know as "Repoman" Dan, I began my career as a buyer's agent helping home buyers and investors purchase foreclosed homes; HUD, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other government & bank-owned properties. I worked my way up to designated broker for Realty Center overseeing up to 10 agents for several years until I started my own company in 2007. I was even a co-host on Property Line Today on the radio for a time.

I have invested in specialized education to better serve my clients. I hold three designations that set me apart from most Realtors. First, the ABR- Accredited Buyer Representative gives you confidence that I have both experience and special training to represent buyers. Second, the GRI means I am a graduate of the Realtor Institute and have received extra training on all things real estate. Third and most importantly, the CRS- Certified Residential Specialist takes 75 transactions in 5 years to qualify and the classes were intense and expensive. Agents/brokers with a CRS are some of the most experienced and well-trained in the business and I am proud to be one.

In addition to my sales experience, I've also self-managed my own rentals and maintained/remodeled/rebuilt a bunch of homes. I could be described as a "handy man", avid do-it-yourselfer, jack of all trades. My experience in construction/maintenance will benefit you greatly when we are touring and evaluating homes. 

I love Idaho for the friendly people, low crime, low cost of living, four distinct seasons and wealth of recreational opportunities within easy driving distance. (My thing is fishing for steelhead and salmon, hiking and camping.) I love Idaho's wildlife, crystal clean rivers & lakes and beautiful mountains.

Where do I begin? Since 1987, I have worked with 14 different real estate agents. Dan Rowe is far and away the best real estate agent we have ever worked with; Dan Rowe is the definition of a professional real estate agent. Our home sale was going to be a challenge right from the start. We were 350 miles (6.5 hours) away. We just wanted to get out from under the house which we had been renting out for several years waiting for the market to rebound. We had little money to work with to get it ready to sell and were going to make just enough to cover the mortgage. This was a definite fixer upper that was going to be a challenge to sell under certain lending requirements. Dan was honest and realistic right from the start. He and his resources helped us get the house ready for listing. Along every step of the process, Dan presented us with all options in every situation and his recommendations. We relied heavily on his recommendations because it was obvious he knew what he was talking about because of his extensive experience. He never steered us wrong. Unfortunately, we all got blind-sided by an old Planning and Zoning issue that landed on us to resolve. Dan kept his cool the entire time as he tried to keep us calm -- no easy task on this one. :-) He worked tirelessly to help us get past this issue along with the continued repairs required to comply with FHA requirements. I was working with Dan for the last year, searching for both personal and investment properties. Dan is very familiar with the Treasure valley real estate market. Especially with distressed and bargain properties. Dan always gives sincere and honest advice. He always made sure that I had the complete picture regarding any property of interest. My husband and I just relocated to Idaho from California. I have been a licensed real estate broker in CA since 1999 and consider myself to be a relocation specialist. I have assisted many people in the relocation process, but I've never been through the process myself until now! Dan was recommended to us, and I have to say that I am skeptical about working with realtors I don't know, because I know all the things that can go wrong when realtors don't do their jobs right. Dan has been amazing to work with! He is professional, honest, ethical, smart, and made this move a great experience. The realtor who represented the buyers of our home in CA was none of the above and made the CA end of our move a nightmare, but the Idaho end couldn't have gone smoother, and Dan was able to jump in and make adjustments in our transaction when our escrow didn't close on time for the sale of our CA home. He knows his contracts and explained everything to us every step of the way rather than just shoving papers at us and asking us to Sign here. We were not able to be in Idaho for our inspection, and that would normally be a big deal for me as I am a very detail oriented person, but I felt totally confident in having Dan be at our inspection and take us on a tour of our new home and all of it's systems after we moved in. He has such great background and experience in all of the details of how a home works and how to maintain its' various systems. He has been a wonderful guide for us in learning how to take care of a home here. I've never owned a home with a crawlspace rather than a cement slab, I've never lived anywhere that gets snow, and I don't know the nuances of taking care of a home in this climate or in this local (example: we tap into canal water here to water our yard). Dan has walked us through everything and I'm grateful he is just a phone call away. We had total peace of mind in making this big move thanks to Dan! We love our new home and couldn't be happier with our experience with Dan. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone selling or buying a home in the Boise area. Thanks Dan!

We were reffered to Dan by family, and ever so glad we were. He truly helped us make the home buying process be the best it could be. He only showed us houses that met our qualifications, and even though we wanted a fixer upper, he knew as first time home buyers that they are a lot of work, and showed us the potential projects that could also arise. His knowledge of the area really helped us with deciding where we didn't want to be and what would help us in the future if we ended up wanting to sell our house. We found our gem about a month after starting and he set us up with full knowledge of what to expect falling for a short sell house. It took a long 4 months after the offer was placed to get our approval and 3 weeks to make the house actually ours but Dan never gave us false expectations, helped us whenever we had questions, and even set better expectations with our final costs than our lender. His 20 years of experience really shows through, and makes the difference. We pass his name everytime our friends or family are looking for a house, and we will always use Dan if/when another house is needed.

He was great at organizing houses to look at that fit our criteria, and when going through them all he pointed out any positives and negatives about the properties - not just the obvious cosmetic stuff, but pointed out little things that were signs of larger potential problems. His experience as a property manager himself, his own professional and personal experiences with working on homes, and the 100's of inspections he's been along with have made him invaluable to look at a home with.
